Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience distilling concepts into coherent and clear communications materials.
  • Knowledge of the tech/platform policy and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage/coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
  • Ability to lead projects by assisting with final deliverables and creating outputs tailored to audiences.
  • Ability to proactively take ownership of projects by setting and achieving milestones, synthesizing input from stakeholders, and working creatively and proactively on different timelines/scales.

As a Program Manager, you will manage design, execution, and delivery of high-visibility transparency reports concerning Youtube's impact on users, partners, and society. You will support reporting on various regions and issues areas and work with YouTube’s teams, including Analytics, Product, Trust and Safety, Legal, and Policy. You will collaborate with regional experts to develop accurate, scalable, and timely regulatory and voluntary reports. You will manage work as a part of YouTube’s transparency reporting efforts and help demonstrate YouTube's commitments to platform responsibility.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the full life cycle production of transparency reports, including establishing project priorities and timeline, translating policy requirements to facilitate contributions from technical teams, tracking dependencies, managing cross-functional reviews, input and approvals, and general troubleshooting.
  • Identify, scope, and lead alignment among internal stakeholders on reporting strategy, content, and metrics that are informed by business priorities and local policy context.
  • Develop and manage internal partnerships. Lead internal communications and knowledge sharing efforts around reporting priorities. Ensure reporting consistency with data sharing principles and policy narratives.
  • Source, write, and review descriptions of data and metrics. Work with cross-functional partners on report language for product, processes, and policies.
  • Contribute to a shared internal knowledge base and resources for reports. Propose solutions to close gaps in documenting products, policies, and processes for transparency reporting.
