The Marketing Manager, DCM is responsible for driving and executing strategy and communications to support DCM (Dallas Cowboys Merchandising) businesses such as wholesale business partners and the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop locations. The Marketing Manager will report to Director of Brand & Marketing, with 2 direct reports: Marketing Coordinator and Visual Merchandiser.
- Strategic planning and implementation of marketing communications, media buying & planning, event activations and branding across the wholesale and retail channels for all brands produced by Dallas Cowboys Merchandising through digital and visual merchandising.
- Deliver strategic marketing and media plans that include promotions and consumer centric messages to meet business objectives by working with buyers, store operations and Fanatics eCommerce teams for Dallas Cowboys Pro Shops.
- Manage the marketing production & planning calendar, along with processes; to support buyer/product initiatives at retail.
- Provide guidance and feedback to creative designer in the development and implementation of branding guidelines.
- Prepare Grand Opening support plans for new Dallas Cowboys Pro Shops locations.
- Collaborate with wholesale sales teams to develop marketing programs for retail partners, monitor performance, and refine plans as appropriate.
- Responsible for achieving financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; reviewing return on spend for optimization opportunities; and initiating corrective actions.
- Develops marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
- Manage creative designer to ensure all project needs are meeting deadlines.
- Assist in management of merchandise photography team to capture, process and deliver product and lifestyle images for DCM & 81Eighty.
- Assignment and projects as they are assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
- 5 – 7 years of retail-specific marketing experience required including a detailed knowledge of the retail product lifecycle.
- Experience managing direct reports in a fast-paced environment.
- Considerable knowledge of marketing and communication principals, practices, and techniques.
- Strong copywriting and copy editing skills for use in website copy, business presentations, headlines and social.
- Ability to use Excel to forecast and analyze campaign metrics is required.
- Marketing experience across various channels and multiple disciplines of marketing (print, direct, event, creative, point of purchase, etc.)
- Proficient in adapting to new technologies, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, social publishing platforms and Smartsheet a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
- Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects.
- Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure.
- Reliable, supportive teammate with a creative and positive personality.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills both internally and externally.
- Time management skills to work on multiple projects at once and with various deadlines.
