Fan Controlled Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Director of Team Ownership Investment who will be responsible for bringing on new owners to FCSE teams and helping manage the growing community of FCSE Team Owners. The Director of Team Ownership Investment will collaborate with existing investors, owners, and the organization’s leaders to drive interest in ownership from potential buyers, but the person who fills this role must be a self-starter and plan to build a strong book of business from scratch since this is a driver of operating capital and overall enterprise value for the organization. This person should bring a hunger for new business growth and a love of the pursuit of high-value sales. key eye for detail and strong communication skills that are flexible to work with a wide variety of teams and levels of management.

Current FCSE Team Owners include notable professional athletes like Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Joe Montana, Dalvin Cook, Baron Davis, Trevor May, Austin Ekeler, Jamal Anderson, Todd Gurley, Marcus Peters, Renee Montgomery, Ronde & Tiki Barber, as well as notable Entertainers including Quavo, Steve Aoki, Druski, Bob Menery, Rachel Lindsay and Jack Settleman and many high-net worth individuals. Teams currently range in value from $10-15mil and there are a myriad of opportunities for fractional ownership for individuals, family offices and businesses seeking to invest in teams in our quickly growing sports leagues.

Responsibilities 

  • Originate and orchestrate business relationships focused on those with private wealth who invest in alternative ventures
  • Effectively and thoughtfully articulate the history and growth of the organization, driving the “why” someone should invest and easily answering the “what do I get out of it” question
  • Develop and execute individual strategic short and long-term sales goals in coordination with team sales objectives to generate new clients, build up existing client investments and increase overall revenue
  • Identify and research potential owners, understanding how this ownership fits in with their investment objectives and ways it helps drive value for them/their personal brand/their business
  • Collaborate with the marketing department and leadership team to contribute feedback to creative marketing initiatives and materials to target sales opportunities and increase brand awareness
  • Develop a go to market strategy for how you are going to tackle selling and create sales collateral to assist with the process
  • Initiate and develop new relationships with prospects and enhance existing relationships with current clients to generate sales leads, sales opportunities, referrals, influencer relationships and further network contacts that will result in team sales revenue generation
  • Develop internal relationships with leaders to understand when to pull those of expertise and interest into the conversation as a continued sales tactic
  • Report on team sales numbers on a consistent basis
  • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed

Experience

  • Demonstrated aptitude for and interest in relationship development and sales process
  • At least 3-5 years of progressive, high wealth sales experience
  • Proven behaviors personal and professional appropriate of being surrounded by those in high-wealth positions
  • Demonstrate a passion for selling as a self-starter who can creatively identify, prioritize and gain access to new investors 
  • Host an in-depth knowledge about and familiarity with alternative investments, being able to talk the talk and drive a want to be on the cusp of something cutting edge
  • Have previously demonstrated results cultivating a strong network that has resulted in winning clients
  • Experience in tracking your sales results and communicating them clearly to a team.
  • Travel may be extensive at times, particularly around targeted fundraising periods 
  • Be in a role that has had an ongoing dedication to prospecting with little down time. 
  • Must be self-motivated, resourceful and results driven.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a professional and polite demeanor.
