An excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior Solution Architect to work for a leading boutique financial services provider.

You will be responsible for designing solutions that optimise current and future state systems and platforms, incorporating information security standards, cloud architecture, infrastructure platforms & business process requirements. Ensuring all systems are designed to meet the enterprise’s business standards today & into the future.

Responsibilities:

• Develop & maintain the enterprise-wide IT architecture roadmap, application inventory, interactions, & integrations across a portfolio of systems
• Be an evangelist for Cloud adoption and migration of solutions to AWS / Azure Cloud.
• Design & maintain enterprise-wide application architecture landscape including PaaS / SaaS platforms.
• Work with agile squads to perform technical analysis & design systems & integration solutions to meet product requirements.
• Assist project managers & agile squads by providing architectural advice & guidance.
• Ensure solution design & development standards are followed by the development teams.
• Work with IT security manager, infrastructure team & development teams to ensure all systems are designed & built according to secure development practices.
• Assist project managers & IT security team with technical risk assessments & management
• Continually monitor industry for technical & process improvements that can benefit organisations & identify how they might apply to the company.

Requirements

• 4+ years as cloud architect / solution architect
• AWS / Azure architect certification
• Experience with designing solutions spanning multiple systems across organisation boundaries, using a variety of integration methods
• Experience with designing external-facing Web and B2B integration solutions
• Knowledge of high scalability, high reliability, high availability & n-tier architectural systems
• Extensive experience in IT implementations of cloud-based solutions to AWS / Azure Cloud
• Extensive knowledge of implementing, integrating with, SaaS / PaaS platforms
• Extensive knowledge of cloud architecture, implementation, & resource optimisation features
• Experience in AWS Cloud including design, best practices, risk mitigation, security & deployment
• Strong experience with containers & serverless architectures
• Experience conducting architectural evaluations of systems
