About the role

Working with Corporate Application Services team as well as various teams and stakeholders across the business. Logs all technical requests in AC3 systems whilst contributing on the completion of backlog tasks.

Participating in the ideation process, develops fit for purpose solutions that align with our technology strategy

and roadmap, and works on implementing these via internal projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities 

• Ensure our Corporate Application Service applications are operational; contribute in the entire operational lifecycle including enhancements, feature releases, bug fixes, patching, upgrades, refreshes, and decommissions.
• Develop complex application solutions in line with quality, scope and time constraints.
• Provide technical expertise, working across a multitude of application platforms to design, code, test, deploy and support customer environments.
• Implement application solutions and associated cloud infrastructure & systems with focus on CI/CD and automation tasks to treat both Applications and Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage tools like JIRA and Git workflows according to best practices.
• Prepare relevant, clear & concise documentation needed for transition into and ongoing support.
• Understand & use basic principles of system administration and monitoring of customer application platforms in the cloud.
• Learn the various application suites and develop intimate knowledge of the supported environments over time.
• Understand existing code repositories and make modifications without breaking functionality.

Essential Experience

• 5+ years commercial enterprise experience in Software Development.
• 1-2 years enterprise experience working with AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Experience developing and supporting Software applications NodeJS & Python.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience in the use of modern CI/CD tools for software development and deployment.
• Exposure to Relational Database Management Technologies (e.g.,
• MySQL, Aurora etc.), SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Knowledge of data formats like XML, JSON, YAML etc.
