Who will you be joining? 

Audit is the home for those who dare to support Allianz Group in achieving their strategic targets. Group Audit supports the Board of Management in the supervision and assessment of the Internal Control System. Furthermore, we coordinate local Internal Audit functions to progressively align audit practices, and to provide assurance to the Board and Audit Committee on a consolidated basis.

The IT Auditor acts as accepted advisor to the business with in-depth experience in execution of internal audits specific to Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS). The role is about to advise managers and their departments and add value to the business by identifying business risks at an early stage and helping them to improve the controls. The IT Auditor independently performs internal audits, leads and supervises audit projects, defines risk-based audit areas, and ensures proper documentation. As well s/he leads closing meetings and ensures that the recommendations are implemented adequately. The IT Auditor participates as a specialist in various types of audits, in cooperation with the team and aligned with the Audit Manager.

Strong technical and ethical characteristics are fundamental to audit success. Independent from the job level, an auditor should maintain appropriate technical skills as well as agility and a commitment to continuous learning. The ability to see the big picture is important for each audit. 

How can you make an impact? 

  • Take responsibility for the performance of the audit plan in areas of assigned responsibility, as well as for ad-hoc engagements.
  • Plan, design and execute IT specific internal audits (e.g., Information Technology, Information Security, Cyber Security, IT Governance, Data Governance, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence) and define risk-based audit areas, audit business transactions, workflows, processes and control systems.
  • Participate in and execute audits performed by Group Audit for all lines of business, as well as participate in “Quality Reviews” of local internal audit departments.
  • Determine deficiencies and vulnerabilities to be remedied, analyze audit results, formulate proposals for solution, lead closing meetings.
  • Ensure proper documentation of audit work performed and responsibility for audit report writing.
  • Develop effective business relationships and encourage knowledge sharing within the Allianz Audit Community in order to identify, package and implement business and IT solutions that help the Allianz Group grow and excel.
  • Take responsibility for the relationship with the auditees (deal with challenging situations, understand different perspectives, deliver challenging conclusions in a diplomatic way, etc.).
  • Manage communication with stakeholders from all hierarchy levels.

What are you made of? 

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic background (Master/University Diploma or Degree)
  • Strong background and expertise in Information Technology, Information Security or large-scale IT projects and environments
  • Proven command of the English language (verbal and written), additional languages are a plus 
  • Strong MS Office skills

Experience and Key skills:

  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in Information Technology, Information Security and in large scale enterprise IT environments 
  • Expertise in IT risks and controls
  • Passionate about new technological trends and solid understanding of how Information Technology engages with and enables business operations
  • Experience in applied Data Analytics
  • Professional experience in insurance industry, financial services, other regulated industry or Information Technology
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Talent to empathize for the auditee’s perspective and ability to listen
  • Team spirit, self-motivation and a proactive and committed working style, as well as ability to interact in a global work environment with people from different countries and cultures
  • Embracing change as well as a fast-paced environment
  • Geographical mobility and willingness to travel
  • Agility and commitment to continuous learning
  • Preferably good knowledge of Allianz Group
