About the role

Joining our SOC team, you'll work closely with other teams within our Cyber Security Practice and Cloud Operations team to provide an effective line of defence against existing and evolving threats..

This role is responsible for day to day operations within the CSOC. This spans the full range of vulnerability scanning and mitigation, security monitoring, incident investigation, response and reporting, and other security related functions.

Skills & experience 

• You’ve defended, you’ve attacked and you understand how to detect, respond and remediate existing and emerging security threats. 
• You have a good grasp of technology and the components that underpin a modern ICT environment: networks, servers, databases, applications, endpoints, private and public clouds
• Previous experience working in a SOC environment highly desirable
• Strong technical knowledge across Palo Alto, Cisco, F5, Trend Micro, Carbon Black, Zscaler, Mimecast or similar
• Previous experience working with SIEM or log collection and correlation platforms (QRadar, Splunk or ELK stack)
• Experience with cyber security standards, regulations, policies and processes
• Programming skills (Python, Ruby) a plus
• Strong customer service skills
