Job Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a part-time fixed-term faculty member at the rank of Adjunct Instructor to work at the WakeBrook Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. The position would allow the faculty member to work across units at WakeBrook as needed; and appropriate trainings would be provided for each one. These WakeBrook units serve adults with mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities. Job responsibilities may include: providing individual and group therapy; conducting clinical assessments; making referrals; working as part of a multidisciplinary team; collaboration with families; educating family members on available resources; conducting discharge planning. Document all clinical work thoroughly and on required forms or in the EMR within established timeframes; promptly complete consumer eligibility, data entry, referral and encounter forms as appropriate. Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have experience working in crisis and emergency environments. The successful candidate will have experience providing leadership working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the successful candidate will have strong clinical and diagnostic skills working with individuals with mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities.Qualified applicants will have availability during the week and on weekends and holidays. WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS required. The hours are typically from 8 to 4.Applicants must have a Master's degree in a human services field (i.e. Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) and either a full license or associate license to practice in North Carolina.
