Data may come from various formats and sources, including but not limited to RDBMS, FTP/CSV, XML, web surveys, web services, wearable devices, accelerometers, neurocognitive assessments, and environmental sensors. Resulting datasets must be in usable formats for analysis, such as SAS and R. Independent initiative is required during programming, coding, and validation to examine the data to ensure it conforms to expectations, adapting to unexpected values and formats. Data integrity is critically important. Raw data sources may reach 300+ million records, with >1000 created variables. Basic descriptive statistical output e.g. weighted crosstabs, will be generated and given to the biostatistician to review, as well as other reports/analytics.
