JOB DESCRIPTION 

Summary/Objective 

The Manager, Digital Marketing serves the Marketing & Consulting Sales department. Their focus is the execution of email and digital marketing assets for USA Football’s products and programs. This is

inclusive of, but not limited to, email production, list management, website structure (SEO, sitemap, etc.), blog posting and web ads. 

They should be comfortable with common digital marketing tools and email service providers. They should have strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and other email best practices. They need strong quantitative skills and experience with excel and lists. They need to stay up to date on the latest laws and regulations

regarding messaging rules, including email, SMS, and additional related areas. They should have a strong grasp of retargeting and PPC best practices and ad delivery platforms. 

Essential Functions

  • Provides technical digital marketing support to the Marketing team 
  • Heavy focus is on email marketing, including list management, email layout/development, CAN-SPAM compliance and deliverability 
  • Supports content marketing calls to action and manages USA Football web ads 
  • Handles day-to-day list management and unsubscribes in Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
  • Serves as a web page and email layout expert, laying out and designing mobile-friendly messaging 
  • Builds and maintains customer journeys through various channels and manages the email calendar for
  • one-off sends 
  • Leads SEO, website optimization, campaign tracking, customer funnels and other digital marketing initiatives with the Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations 
  • Handle technical aspects of website and email, including customization, personalization and A/B testing
  • protocols 
  • Cleans up and combines lists through excel or other tools 
  • Champions proper external messaging through appropriate email service provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) 
  • Supports content marketing initiatives with copywriting, customer interviewing, and additional areas
  • where needed 
  • Analyze data and make sure proper tracking is setup through Google Analytics, Fullstory, and
  • additional platforms 
  • Help execution on digital marketing focused areas including webinar setup/list management and CMS website builds (SiteFinity) 
  • Handles reporting on emails, web ads, and blog CTAs

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 4 years of experience in marketing or web development 
  • Strong understanding of CAN-SPAM and other list management regulations 
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency using project management tools 
  • Organizational skills including ability to handle high volume of detail-oriented work 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word 
  • Plus: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, AMPScript and/or SQL 
  • Plus: Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop 

Supervisory Responsibility 

This position may eventually manage contractors, interns and/or employees. Management of projects

includes directing project-related activities of the project team members. 

Work Environment 

This job primarily operates in a remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and video conferencing.

Physical Demands 

Requires the ability to sit for more than four hours per day, reading, listening, and manual dexterity. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position. This position requires standard work hours and some weekend work. 

Travel 

Occasional travel is expected for this position.
