What we're looking for

The Billing and Payments team is a multinational engineering team which creates and maintains the software platform for Momentive's global payments and billing systems. Our primary focus is to ensure that our customers enjoy a secure checkout experience. This year we are expanding the team to work on an exciting integration with Stripe to allow us to enhance the experience for our customers.

We are looking for an engineering leader to drive the Billing and Payments team in our Platform Engineering Division. This team is building our next generation of Billing and Payments Platform. You will report to the Senior Director of Engineering. We're looking for someone passionate about leadership, engineering excellence, and the user experience to set the stage for the next decade of Momentive's growth.

You will

• Lead an engineering team of ~20 engineers and managers
• Provide both technical leadership and mentorship - holding a high-performance bar for the team
• Be a role model and professional coach for engineers and managers with an ability to execute and focus on craftsmanship
• Collaborate with peers across Product and Design to define, innovate, and build these products in an Agile, iterative fashion
• Partner with HR and recruiting teams to attract and recruit experienced, and diverse talent
• Help implement excellent engineering processes that emphasize customer centricity, agile/scrum, and developer productivity

You have

• The ability to acquire, develop, grow and retain accomplished diverse software engineers of all experience levels
• You have deep technical experience with, and an excellent track record using web technologies such as React, JavaScript, Node.js, GraphQL, Python, and SQLServr at scale
• Passionate about your profession, curious and continuing to learn to inspire innovation and excellence in software engineering and architecture
• Ownership, customer service, integrity demonstrated through uptime, responsiveness, executive presence, and positive action
• Around 15 years of experience leading successful teams focused on building and operationalizing scalable products, including 5 years in the global billing, payments, fraud and compliance space delivering e-commerce experiences. Prior Stripe integration experience is nice to have.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
