Description

 

Consulting with Business Partners to define requirements and develop solution alternatives and estimates (Business Engagement Consultants) and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions and integrating architecture (Solution Consultants) and assuring the integration of corporate business application architectures.

 

Essential Functions: Integrated Planning & Evaluation: • Participates in integrated systems planning & recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate & business goals. • Participates &/or Leads review & design concept work for new systems & develops & documents technical design for solution integration & implementation. • Develops plans for integration of new systems architecture into current infrastructure. • Participates in providing logical/physical input to Operations areas to enable integration of new systems into current infrastructure. • Participates in post-live project activities; including evaluation of success criteria, identification of best practices, lessons learned, & strategies for future releases & deployments. • Provides technical direction & support recommendations for complex configuration projects. Supply & Demand Management: • Provide input on supply & demand management. Business Cases: • Coordinates the development of comprehensive business cases with cost, service, & benefit dimensions of proposed projects that are used at management & executive levels for funding & scope decisions. Business Process Analysis: • Plans, coordinates & conducts the analysis of client business processes & functional requirements & the preparation of appropriate documentation to communicate & validate the information. • Develops cross-initiative integration plans. • Identifies other initiatives that exist & ensures that efforts are not duplicated. • Supports a variety of applications. Consults on the integration of application systems into the work environment, regarding their operational & training implications. • Consults on business process reengineering. Business Requirements: • Independently initiates, identifies & coordinates the analysis of complex client needs in project areas such as: new business operating models, innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality & operational readiness assessment. • Identifies opportunities for increasing business efficiency through improved manual & automated process systems. Functional & Application Release Requirements: • Participates in the leadership of cross-functional &/or cross-divisional task forces to identify & document functional requirements, workflow, information sources & distribution paths, & system specifications. • May establish cross-functional task forces. • Plans & coordinates application release requirements. Development of Solution Recommendations/Alternatives: • Develops the analysis & definition of efficient, cost effective solutions that support client business processes  & functional requirements & resource costs. • Evaluates existing applications that could address client requirements & develops recommendations where appropriate. • Evaluates alternative operational efficiencies. • Identifies opportunities for solution sharing & reuse. Management of Client Expectations: • Advises clients on the consequences of actions. Communicates risks & ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with client. Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

Experience • Minimum eight (8) years of related experience.

Education • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
