Description

 

THIS POSTING REPRESENTS FIVE POSITIONS

 

Support achieving and maintaining optimal business position in order to sustain and grow membership. Provide support to group Account Management client servicing functions and preparation of information to existing accounts. Support the Sales Executive/ Brokers/ Consultants in achieving new sales targets and facilitate various pre/post sales processes. Create sales opportunities through targeted external customer facing enrollment activities, effective relationships with brokers/consultants and front-line benefits contacts, to increase membership, build support for KP, and enhance group customer loyalty and retention. Monitor and maintain data integrity within sales systems in order to improve external communication, sales performance, and book of business management. Provide high quality customer experience to prospective customers/employers or other channel partners.

Essential Responsibilities:

Track, monitor and ensure that contracts, pricing and membership accounting have accurate information and implement the negotiated terms of the final renewal with focus on business processes.

Manage the process of resolving complicated and sensitive employer-initiated concerns in order to build purchaser loyalty and retain membership.

Understand account strategy, goals, and financial position.

Coordinate the flow of information in order to keep the process moving to meet strategic objectives.

Through ongoing account contacts, identify situations that may signal opportunities for growth for KP (e.g. business acquisition) and alert account manager.

Identify and act on enrollment opportunities including: presentations; benefit fairs; health fairs; and Q & A sessions and inform open enrollment specialist/strategist about potential enrollment opportunities.

Identify and report trends and/or systematic issues within a book-of-business as they become apparent and provide solutions and possible opportunities for growth.

Participate in Account Strategy sessions and work on targeted accounts in conjunction with the Account Manager.

Collect specific business information and competitive data required for account strategies by established deadlines.

Act as the primary point of contact for group customer contacts as related to contracts, benefits, rates or renewal activities.

Understand the customer's business and business challenges. Know customer's Human Resources and Benefits staff and how decisions get made.

Create and increase credibility by demonstrating knowledge of each customer's unique benefit package.

Ensure accurate enrollment process, payment arrangements and contract is understood, agreed to and met.

Establish and maintain relationships with front line business owners in support of assigned Account Manager.

Assist with in-field demonstrations and teachings to employers and brokers on KP online technology to facilitate maximization of all KP online tools.

Review, qualify and process all incoming business opportunities.

Prepare and submit group documentation and set up customer contract.

Collaborate with Sales Executive regarding appropriate products and plan design.

Submit/Oversee quotation request to Underwriting and act as liaison regarding any additional data needed from broker/client. Follow up with broker for timely submission of additional information.

Analyze the group profile, demographics, etc. in order to calculate premium rates.

Prepare Proposal Packet for Sales Executive delivery to broker/client.  

Assist in identifying new group opportunities and helps the Sales Executive get the RFP in the door to quote.

Assist Sales Executive and brokers/customers with pre/post sales support and account implementation.

Confirm sold plan design and rates with broker/customer in writing.

Send Employer Group Application and appropriate forms to broker/customer and review for completeness.

Coordinate employee meetings with broker/customer and Sales Executive or Account Manager.

Send enrollment materials to Customer.

Coordinate with broker/customer to learn of enrollment results.

Facilitate effective group installation with appropriate internal stakeholders.

Conduct enrollment meetings on an as needed basis.

Manage post group submission validation process.

Respond in a timely manner to all internal departments and outside customers to demonstrate value and build commitment to KP Sales Organization.

Develop relationships with brokers and their support staff.

Resolve issues that may jeopardize sales.

Identifies service failure trends or process improvement opportunities.

Maintain all sales databases and sales reports within the team's territory.

Demonstrate product, service and rating knowledge to effectively respond to broker/client issues.

Stay abreast of competitor products and rating practices.

Remain current on KP products and services.

Participate in external and industry related events.

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications:

Experience

Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales, telemarketing, customer service in an office setting, claims, or marketing.

Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare sales/service.

Education

Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, business administration OR four (4) years of experience in sales, telemarketing, customer service in an office setting, claims, or marketing.

High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

Colorado Life & Health insurance producer's license required within 90 days of hire date.

Additional Requirements:

Demonstrated record of meeting individual business objectives.

Strong customer service skills with the ability to articulate and respond to issues.

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills required.

Strong computer skills, including experience creating client presentations using Microsoft Office programs and use of client databases.

Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with a high degree of accuracy with high volume work.

Excellent rapport building skills. Quick learner of key information.

Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders.

Collaborative work style.

Continuing education as required by specific-state Department of Insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) years of experience in sales, account management or health plan administration in health care industry.

One (1) year of experience with employee group benefits.

One (1) year of experience in underwriting processes, healthcare products, and contracts.

Background experience in brokerage/consultant, insurance carrier, TPA, or benefits administration.

Understanding of current/future trends and changes in healthcare/health insurance laws/regulations.

Previous specialized training in customer service skills and techniques.
