Job Summary
Sitting within the Optus Sales Organisation, the Solution Architect will be key in identifying and developing Unified Communication, Collaboration and Modern Workplace opportunities. You will interact closely with Account Teams, Technical resources and the wider Optus Enterprise service and delivery teams. You will use your knowledge and experience to develop solutions from multiple technologies to address business needs in a converged ICT services market.
As companies rapidly shift to as-a-service model you will be capable of bridging solutions from multiple technology vendors including our strategic partnerships with Cisco and Microsoft. You will be working with colleagues that are developing proposals embracing Contact Centre, Mobility, Cloud and traditional networking architectures.

- Proactive attitude in Partner Vendors and other market relationships.
- Ability to take personal ownership and control, driving customer engagements to achieve success.
- Be comfortable presenting technical and non technical concepts through to Director/C Level
- Demonstration of market / industry experience and knowledge to assist in bringing sales to a winning position
- Strong focus on creating relevant, accurate, repeatable and profitable opportunities.
- Team player providing thought leadership to colleagues within the wider Optus team.
- Progression and maintenance of vendor relationships to strengthen the solutions offered to customers.
Experience and Qualifications
- Significant experience in consultative and creative solution selling and experience in developing solutions that meet a customer’s requirement.
- Depth of Microsoft experience across Managed Desktop, Intune, Sharepoint
- Migration from Microsoft onpremise solutions to Cloud e.g SFB to MS Teams
- Wider perspective on industry vendors and technologies e.g AWS, Google, Salesforce
- Wider perspective on complimentary Optus offerings e.g Contact Centre, SD WAN
- 3rd party solutions such as Voice Recording
- Interoperability in large complex organisations
- Previous event presentation and speaking
