Spread over 281 acres, the campus offers a sense of community and belonging-â??a place where faculty and staff feel supported, take pride in the universityâ??s mission, and are devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and research, and to developing leaders who make a difference in their communities.Track energy consumption - Identify under-performing systems - Set priorities - Monitor progress - Verify improvements - Repair & correct significant deviation in energy consumption Set the tone for improvement throughout the organization - Measure the success of both the energy management and sustainability programs - Help the Team to identify progress and setbacks at a facility and organization level - Foster ownership of both energy management and sustainability, create a sense of purpose, and motivate Faculty, Staff and Students. - Create schedules for upgrade activities and identify milestones Collect energy use green initiatives information and document data over time - Determine the starting point from which to measure progress - Compare the energy performance of your facilities to each other, and competitors, and prioritize which facilities to focus on for improvements - Understand your energy use patterns and trends - Evaluate the operating performance of facility systems and equipment to determine improvement potential. Training and Communication - Assist organization leadership communicate the importance of sustainable practices to campus community - Develop targeted information for key audiences about both energy management and sustainability programs. - Build support at all levels of organization for sustainable initiatives and goals - Through training, access to information, and transfer of successful practices, procedures, and technologies. - Identify incentives that encourage staff to improve energy performance to achieve goals. New Technology & Best Practices - Utilize industry software tools to analyze equipment efficiency - Seek out state/federal incentives for energy efficiency/renewable projects.This position is being readvertised.
