Job Summary

This position is the leading cloud architecture role, accountable for developing and maintaining high level architecture and platform plans, detailed designs for next generation technologies and creating engineering guidelines for enhancement to current production deployments for virtual desktop infrastructure, application delivery including on-premise and in public cloud. This role is responsible for driving cloud innovation and initiatives which evaluate application technologies, establish methodologies and plan for low-cost operational management of operating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and communicate cloud and application delivery strategies and standards.
  • Ensure solution compliance and integration with enterprise architecture for cloud and application delivery systems by reviewing and advising on new and existing Information Technology projects.
  • Identify and investigate opportunities to utilise and integrate emerging technologies to provide cost effective and flexible solutions.
  • Manage the introduction of new technologies into the production environment in conjunction with other Senior Architects and Design teams.
  • Provide adept guidance and support to business and technical managers and other architects on major projects that are of strategic significance.
  • Collaborate with a global workforce of technology professionals to maximise capacity and integrated communications capability.
  • Solve medium-complex problems and provide expert technical advisement to engineering and operational teams.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree, technical diploma/certification, or equivalent minimum 5 years of experience in the telecommunications field working with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Citrix Technology; Xen Desktop and XenApp.
  • Fluent MS Project, Excel & Word Skills.
  • Experience with public cloud providers, preferably Azure.
  • Experience in support of programs or projects, i.e. project estimation, budgeting.
  • Ability to analyse large amounts of information and produce reports and presentations in a clear and concise manner; i.e. financial data and present charts on breakdown of transfers and spend.
  • An understanding of financial models used in project development and management; ability to monitor and manage budgets
