Grow your career in the Advanced Solutions Group as an Applications Engineer for Multiphase Client and Cloud and have an immediate impact on achieving our vision. With minimal supervision, you’ll be working in a cross-collaborative, fast-paced team, making positive change possible. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with an international lead supplier and an experienced technical team in computing power supply market.
  • Understand power management products in different levels, convert system knowledge to new product definition.
  • Generate technical documents such as application notes, technical presentations, design aids.
  • Demonstrate lab skills, perform bench evaluations and measurements to support product design releases.
  • Understand product requirements for high volume manufacturing.
  • Communicate, understand, and solve technical issues of various customers. 
  • Work with multiple teams on multiple tasks, with efficient communication and reporting. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineer.
  • 7+ years of experience. 
  • Understanding of DC/DC switch mode power supply topologies.
  • Basic circuit analysis skills and good knowledge of analog building blocks, e.g., op amps, transistors, voltage references, oscillators, etc. 
  • Familiarity with hardware design - understand PCB design (schematic capture and layout).
  • Experience with lab testing equipment, tools – Oscilloscope, Power supplies, function generator, multi-meter, etc.
  • Knowledge to power switching circuit simulation and modelling using tools such as PSPICE, LTSPice, Simplis etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enthusiasm for solving customer problems in a collaborative manner. 
  • Role can include travel (up to 25%) to meet with customers and field engineers worldwide.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $121,500 -$200,500 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonusesThe final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
