Security Team at ByteDance

The team is missioned to build infrastructures, platforms and technologies, as well as to support cross-functional teams to protect our users, products and infrastructures. An exciting opportunity exists for a well-rounded technical program manager to help build out our world-class security program. As a TPM for Security you'll have a broad, interdisciplinary range of responsibilities to help scope, track, manage and launch high-priority technical security programs for our global users. Your focus will be on launching, managing and scaling security engineering programs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and scale security engineering programs by defining milestones, success criteria, resourcing and delivery.
• Drive initiatives among cross-functional teams to define project requirements, and establish scope which includes defining the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are partnering with.
• Break large and complex projects down into manageable pieces, understand the end-to-end solution and implementation path in order to execute complex security programs.
• Drive internal process improvements by using automation to replace repeatable, operational tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor/ Master Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 2 years of experience in technical product/program management or software engineering.
• Experience working with technical teams to developing and/or program managing the fast-moving buildout of large-scale distributed systems or security program initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple disciplines and time zones.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in any of these areas: Infrastructure Security, Security Products, Application/Platform Security, Data Security.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering teams
• Experience managing execution of high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time).
• Experience managing execution and high quality product delivery.
• Ability to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
