Job Summary

The role of Lead DPM Dev-ops (data platforms manager development operations) requires a dependable, customer-focused, and motivated individual with a semi-technical background, who can work autonomously through operational issues leveraging vendor resources whilst working across highly visible big data and Pega platforms.

This role involves key senior business stakeholder management and acts as a point of escalation working directly with executive committee members. As a result the role is highly visible to senior leadership whilst working on exco dashboards for committee members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data specialists, data engineers, designers, administrators that deliver:
• agile project using CICD processes
• deployment & operations support
• platform, technology end users support
• Responsible for handling and delivering Big Data DevOps for all Optus Big Data initiatives with regard to applications operations, support & management in alignment with application and platform-specific SLAs.
• Responsible for leading a pipeline of agile projects. Participate as the lead in delivery, deployment, transition, operations and platform management
• Run & build big data pipelines for development, enhancements, and improvement projects & initiatives.
• Experience with technologies such as Pega, Tableau, Cloudera, Spark, Scala, Python, Kafka, Elastic Search, Splunk, Informatica Big Data Management suite, Informatica EDC, Java, Control M.
• Responsible for implementing agile based CICD processes & tools for iterative & incremental builds, test automation, lower environment management, release management and deployments

Experience and Qualifications

• Degree in business management, IT, computer systems, software or computer engineering fields or equivalent qualification/s.
• Ability to analyse and understand sophisticated problems and translate technical information into business terms, clearly and optimally both verbally and in writing.
• proven ability with 8+ years in data warehousing, data management and Big Data
• 2+ years’ experience in DevOps Management with hands-on experience as lead designer specializing in Big Data related solutions, involving data ingestion (real-time and batch code), stitching, data collection and processing including curation.
• Practical experience in analytical solutions based on big data platforms and using big data tools (not limited to) Scala, Spark, Python, Informatica BDM, Stream-Sets / Apache Nifi, Cloudera and /or Hortonworks toolset, Kafka, Associated supporting technologies like Unix Scripting
• Experience with Visualization tools and building of analytical models

• Experience in handling SDLC life cycle.
• Financial understanding for costing and budgeting of license management.
