As a Business Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the overall Optus sales target allocated within your Region.

Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be highly motivated, upbeat with a can-do positive attitude to exceed business targets with your allocated portfolio.

We are looking for a Sales focussed individual with a passion for Sales and Business development, you will have 2+ years’ experience within a Sales position, we want to be able to show you the ropes, train and develop you to be part of the Optus team. The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated and energetic with a sense of urgency and personal responsibility for achieving targets, resilient, and customer first focused. You will own the overall sales target allocated to the region, which will be a combination of the specified channel partner stores targets and an individual contributor target.

Success in this role will be evident in the achievement of the sales KPIS and national channel strategy and in the value of the relationship held with channel partners in the state/region.

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Macquarie Park, Sydney. Please note, successful candidates will be required to travel as part of this role. Flexible working arrangements are also accommodated.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver upon agreed sales targets in acquisition of new Business customers
  • Manage the development of a balanced and sustainable pipeline to deliver long term sales goals.
  • Implementation and execution of a successful sales strategy
  • Monitor and maximize the business performance of your external sales channels
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to help achieve long term targets.
  • Manage stakeholders & franchises and none branded retail stores
  • Building pipelines and plant initiative

Experience:

  • 2 years + experience in a retail of business-to-business environment preferably Telco or tech background, highly regarded
  • Experience dealing with external vendors and being able to influence
  • Sound commercial and business acumen with proven ability to managing and working to a budget
  • Experience in operating in both relationship and transactional sales and marketing environment
  • Sound commercial and eye for business with experience in positioning value propositions to customers
  • Confirmed sales track record in achieving growth sales and customer loyalty through strong relationships
  • Strong presentation and communication skills - written & verbal to internal and external senior executives
  • High levels of personal commitment and willingness to accept accountability for actions
  • Salesforce and MS office programs similar CRMs
