The Role

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for driving improvements in the processes and technologies supporting Finance and Accounting, particularly our Revenue End User Group. You will work closely with internal Finance Business Operations leaders to effectively collect requirements, manage, support, and implement changes to existing financial systems and implement new solutions. As the Lead SME for Revenue Systems, you will be looked at for thought leadership within IT and business groups for defining future states for both Revenue Systems and processes.

What You'll Do

  • Builds the foundation for project efforts by capturing the business context – problem definition, current state definition, objectives, business case, desired future state definition, etc
  • Develop detailed requirements (business, user, process, system requirements – functional and non-functional) and establish traceability to the business vision
  • Facilitate discovery sessions and business process workshops. Be able to diagram and elaborate current & future state application workflows in detail
  • Lead and execute full development lifecycle activities - design, develop, and test enhancements in alignment with business requirements; work with development teams to build custom objects
  • Research and resolve issues with Revenue Systems, assisting in outlining enhancements and administering user access to the system
  • Provide technical and functional expertise across financial systems. Serve as Financial Systems SME for Revenue Teams as their lead point of contact for IT
  • Provide product support, track escalations, perform root cause analysis, and work with vendors to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, release notes, and conduct end-user training where appropriate. Be forward thinking in leveraging new features, functions, and product enhancements
  • Work with integration teams to ensure on-going efficiency & effectiveness in communication between mission critical applications
  • Build expertise among fellow team members and help grow internal team capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • ERP & Revenue Systems Consulting or Administration experience (Zuora RevPro strongly preferred)
  • Understanding of business accounting & financial processes, specifically Revenue Recognition, ASC606, & other various revenue related processes and concepts
  • Strong Business Analysis skills
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work on multiple activities with changing priorities
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Comfortable in working with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Coaching and mentoring of team members to grow internal knowledge of SME applications

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of broader Accounting, Finance, and SOX/Audit concepts
  • NetSuite (or other SaaS Financials ERP) Administration or Consulting Experience
  • Familiarity with Integration & ETL Tools and Methods (e.g. Dell Boomi, Stitch)
  • Zuora Revenue Analyst Certification (or a comparable system’s certification)
