EXL Health is seeking a Software Engineer - Healthcare Analytics, this role will initially be remote but once Stay at Home orders are lifted, this role will be located in West Hartford, CT.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for working with the service design team to design, document, build, secure, and maintain software product development solutions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with Data Scientists, Product Managers and business leaders to understand requirements and deliver on those
  • Define technical roadmap and drive key technology decisions with senior technology stakeholders
  • Improve, optimize and identify opportunities for efficient software development processes
  • Help achieve milestones as per sprint plan
  • Prioritize to manage ad-hoc requests in parallel with ongoing sprints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or related quantitative field
  • 4+ years of software product development experience in Python Flask.
  • Strong experience in building micro services using Python. Experience in Test driven development. Knowledge of Pytest, Coverage etc.
  • Strong understanding and experience in the area of data modeling, data management, data ingestion, data quality management, data governance
  • Experience in Big Data ingestion, transformation and stream/batch processing technologies using Apache Nifi, Apache Kafka, Kinesis, Sqoop, Spark, Spark streaming, Storm etc.
  • Hands on working experience in one or more NoSQL, OLAP data stores like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, redis etc
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
