KIKO Milano, a staple in European cosmetics, is looking for a Key Holder to join their management team. Candidates will be in a unique position to not just support management operationally, but to coach and develop a team that will drive the sales engine of the store. This is a challenging hybrid position, where you can fuse your artistry and budding management skills.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Employee Management:

  • Lead cosmetics retail store team to drive sales through customer service training and modeling behavior. Exemplify outstanding customer service. 
  • Ensure that retail store management and corporate directives are carried out while on duty by managing and motivating beauty staff, delegating responsibilities, and following through to completion. 
  • Maintain and monitor the cosmetics staff’s compliance with Company policies and directives on selling standards, customer service, dress code, etc. Ensure that all policies and procedures are communicated, understood and complied with.
  • Partner with Store Manager to make him/her aware of substandard performance as well as to address any performance or lack of training issues observed while on duty.

Initiative, Responsiveness, Planning and Organizing:

  • Perform retail closing procedures and opening procedures to ensure that the store is ready for business and operating as per Company directives.
  • Responsible for reporting float & processing closing deposit (if applicable)
  • Ensure that the retail store always meets Company standards with regards to merchandising; visual presentations; housekeeping; and loss prevention requirements. 
  • Prioritize tasks as manager on duty and allocate time and resources for self and staff as acting manager on duty according to importance and urgency to ensure all paperwork and store operational requirements are completed on time. 
  • Protect store assets and inventory. 

Customer Service Orientated:

  • Ensure the achievement of retail sales goals for self and staff as well as other KPIs (p+, upt, conversion) as determined by the Company.
  • Monitor beauty staff’s compliance with the Company’s Welcome Training and the direction from Trainers to ensure that they are consistently using these techniques. 
  • Ensure that each staff member is knowledgeable about Kiko USA products and stock levels and is able to respond to customer’s inquiries and needs.
  • Monitor beauty sales staff’s performance on the retail selling floor to be certain that the Company’s standards of customer services are being met and that customers are receiving the maximum level of cosmetics service at all times. 

All other duties as required.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 1 to 2 years’ experience in the retail industry at a supervisory level managing a sales team.
  • Cosmetics/beauty customer service experience preferred
  • The ability to drive sales and provide excellence customer service.
  • Understanding of store operations and opening and closing procedures.
  • Training, planning, and performance management skills.
  • Computer skills to include a retail point-of-sale software system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position regularly requires frequent weekend work.
