About the role

This position is accountable for driving strong leadership and a high level of engagement within their BA team and Core Teams. This role will be accountable for the effectiveness and quality of customer experience, brand and User experience frameworks with programs, business requirements gathering, management and verification work within a program. Key activities/deliverables are scope definition, detailed business requirements, managing change requirements, assessing alternative solutions, defining customer experience impacts, testing and business continuity planning.

In addition, this role requires someone with an ability to deal with changing and/or conflicting priorities and taking responsibility for determination of outcomes in Optus' best interests. The role will be managing multiple initiatives, priorities and stakeholders across Consumer Australia requiring proven leadership and the ability to actively foster strong working relationships

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership to the Business in Scope Definition and Ideation input; ensuring that solution options achieve business outcomes, and that the business impacts are understood and factored into requirements gathering and development plans.
  • Guiding the customer towards accepting viable and valid solutions and ensuring final solution supports the stated Business benefits, both functionally and unguided user acceptance testing via user focus groups.
  • Demonstrate and build key competencies by identifying and building best practices.
  • Identification of Best practice methods, tools, competencies, ways of working balanced with a rapidly evolving BA professional, delivery and business landscape.
  • Maintaining a supportive team relationship within the programs, the Business, IT, Solution vendors and Networks.

What You'll need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or business-related discipline or relevant IT/Business experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Business analysis and business process management.
  • Experience in Business Process repositories, modelling and automation.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling and/or budget management.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in Agile development methodology and delivery principles.
  • Understanding in Process automation, process optimisation, data analytics and digitalisation.
