You as a Electrical Engineer, will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in the Hanoi, Vietnam. As the Electrical Engineer will be Reporting to the Hanoi PT Engineering Manager –Power Transformer.
Your responsibilities
- The success candidate will be the part of HUB APMEA PT/ Hanoi Engineering Team specialized in Power Transformers Design
- Creating and executing designs of engineering solutions, including the preparation of drawings, calculations, bill of materials, engineering instructions and processes.
- Applying state-of-the-art design methods, tools and engineering practices to design development.
- Ensuring quality deliverables on time and within estimated cost.
- Completing risk and opportunity assessments and reporting any contract, quality, program or cost issues for resolution.
- Communicating engineering designs and processes to internal stakeholders and actively contributing in design reviews and customer project meetings.
- Collaborating with Supply Chain for input on vendor documentation, bids and evaluation of proposals, materials and equipment. Exploring & implementing new transformer accessories
- Working closely with Mechanical Designer, Product Engineers, Project Managers and Operations staff to deliver designs in a timely manner with high quality deliverables that meet customer expectations.
- Providing training and support to entry-level team members. Participation in HUB/local factory design concept reviews, technical seminars, design quality meetings

Your background
- Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering.
- > 3- 5 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Power Transformers.
- Further experience in other products such as Shunt Reactors, Special transformers would be advantageous.
- Understanding of Power Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics.
- Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.
- Experience on AutoCAD, Microsoft office and tools.
- Good communication skills in English Language oral and written form.
- Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.
- Demonstrated team building and networking skills, would be a preference. Organised and thorough.
- A team player, open with information and willingly contributes to team discussions with an ability to work without supervision when required.
- Quick learner with ability to master new areas.
