Hitachi Energy is seeking a HUB IT Manager as the HUB Regional IS Engagement Manager. This role is accountable for overall HUB IT contribution and value-add to the business, translating business goals into IT landscape and ensuring effective implementation in partnership with Functional/HUB organization. You support development and ensure communication and compliance of IT strategies/activities to maximize efficiency for HUB/Factory IT and Business processes for technology tools.

Your responsibilities

  • Business Strategy/Business Process: Understanding business demands, the current and long-term strategy and identifying opportunities for IT to add value to the business
  • Power Grids IT Strategy: Setting and implementing strategic IT priorities in the organization in line with the BU and HUB strategy, covering business functions application landscape, utilizing the existing IT solutions portfolio, or ensuring to provide new solutions where applicable.
  • IT Processes/ IT Projects: Orchestrating the IT organization to support and deliver on the demand priorities, managing the IT aspects of Strategic Business Initiatives and alignment with Strategic Programs. Implementing and ensuring compliance with global and local standards, tools, processes related to operations/projects execution. Sharing and developing best practices across HUB/Factory IT community. Analyzing all internal and external audits and identify common area of improvement within the global organization
  • Power Grids IT- HUB Focal Point: Act as IT business partner within the BU. Representing IT in the business, establishing strong relationship with the business leaders and acting as an owner of overall IT BU landscape and BU escalation point for all IT related issues. Accountable for the total IT offering into business. Articulating the needs of the business to relevant IT partners to ensure impactful support to the business. Foster communication between BU and IT organization. Ensuring alignment of IT roadmap to business needs through communication and active feedback loops between stakeholders and IT organization.
  • Business Governance/ Power Grids IT Governance: Responsible for HUB IT budget and investments and creating transparency on business unit IT costs
  • HUB IT Management: Providing IT Leadership and guidance across functional /HUB/GPG. Ensuring properly organized area of responsibility and building an effective, capable, and high performing team
  • HUB IT Administration: Setting standard documentation for audits and its records, findings, and reports
  • Safety & Integrity: Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in Information Systems or a Technology related business.
  • Degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or Engineering are preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in project management of complex global projects including IT system integration.
  • Experience with manufacturing operations methods, process, and change management.
  • Experience in complex stakeholder scenarios, cross-functional problem solving and good understanding of IT procedures and policies, together with end-to-end business processes knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English in a global multicultural diverse environment.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work in different time zones and occasional business travel.
