About The Role

Manager of Strategy, Finance & Operations

As Manager of Strategy, Finance & Operations, you will drive decision-making and lead strategic initiatives for Proper. This role is an exciting opportunity to marry high level strategic planning with operational execution to scale Proper’s innovative approach to sleep wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Lead strategic projects from research / ideation through execution (projects may range from new product development to building efficiencies into existing processes)
  • Finance: Partner with COO and bookkeeper on business forecasting, budget allocation, and month end financial closing and reporting process
  • Analytics/BI: Lead in analysis and KPI reporting for the board
  • Clinical Operations: Work closely with our medical and scientific advisory board and sleep coaches to build our digital coaching business
  • Strategic Partnerships: Drive key partnerships, guide/lead agency and external resources to ensure they are supporting the overall growth strategy and our business objectives

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in a strategic/corporate finance, research, or consulting role
  • Previous startup experience a plus
  • You think and act like an owner. Take charge, seek the truth, and tackle problems head on, digging deep for the answers
  • You are able to tie together high level strategy with on the ground implementation; you understand how the details contribute to the big picture
  • You can work with speed and are super comfortable with ambiguity as we build a new category in sleep that combines products and services
  • You love building effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong analytics experience analyzing large data sets in Excel
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Looker, and Google Data Studio a plus
