Develop technical projects related to electric power system, including: load flow studies, short circuit studies, protection coordination, insulation coordination, dynamic studies (transient stability). Works under supervision (less than 10%), using established standards, methodologies and technologies to develop solutions and solve issues.
Your responsibilities
- Engage in advisory projects executed by the Power Consulting team for System Studies.
- Provide support on business development tasks.
- Support in tasks related to the international Energy Economics initiative and document management.
- Provide support on department organization tasks.
- Assist other Power Consulting team in certain assignments depending on the business necessities.
- Work on consulting assignments using established standards, methods and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues.
- Work in an environment of international collaboration within the different Power Consulting units.
- Engage in supervised Project Management activities such as: planning and scheduling, customer satisfaction, financial and cost management, risk and opportunity management and legal and contract management.
- Participates in supervised Marketing and Sales tasks: clarifies customer enquires on technical issues as well as analyses and works on customer’s feedback and propose solutions.
- While supervised, manages administrative procedures in sales processes/tools and supports collection and project management activities when needed.
Your background
- More than 3 years of experience and knowledge of software for simulation of power systems and protection coordination on transmission system. Also technical and legal knowledge in renewable energy.
- Modelling with software (PSS/E, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD) and definition of different studies static and dynamics.
- Consequently, an official master degree related with the electricity or the energy sector or being able to prove having previous equivalent experience is a must.
- Software/programming knowledge in those following programs will be valued: Electrical Simulation Programs, PSS/E, POWER FACTORY, ETAP, PSCAD; C Programming; Matlab; Simulink.
- Fluent English and Spanish both written and spoken. Any additional languages will be appreciated.
- Short business trips might be required (less than 10% of the time), typically for meeting with customer at the start of the project or presenting results.
- The following competences are needed for the role: Adaptability, teamwork, consulting and facilitating abilities, task and information organization, as well as time organization, attention to detail and problem solving and interpersonal skills.
