To support our Marketing, Sales and Product Management team, we are looking for a Tender/Quotation and Sales Specialist. The person hired for this position will be responsible for supporting the sales organization throughout the entire sales process. Specifically, it is about creating offers for systems and products from our grid automation portfolio with a focus on substation automation, protection and control technology, primarily for customers in the Belgium market. You will evaluate customer requirements within the utilities, industries and infrastructure segments in order to draw up competitive, tailor-made solutions. Interested in your next career step? Your responsibilities

  • Creation of competitive offers for systems and products including their cost calculation, taking into account market-oriented technical and commercial aspects and based on the relevant internal guidelines and processes.
  • Ensuring the coordination with the sales organization in order to develop a cost-optimized solution in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Coordination of supporting work from operation and product units and from external suppliers for the preparation of offers.
  • Active sales support with administrative tasks within the sales process, especially with offer and risk reviews, strategic considerations of the scope of delivery and determination of appropriate contractual conditions.
  • Technical support for the sales organization in meetings, presentations and negotiations.
  • Active support in market development in collaboration with new and existing customers.
  • Active development of our solutions, in line with customer specifications and general market requirements.

Your background

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (ideally with a focus on electrical power engineering).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the areas of sales, bid management or sales support or alternatively in project execution (technical project management, engineering or similar) with a focus on substation automation, protection and control technology.
  • Good knowledge written and spoken French, Dutch and English language.
  • Experience in working with electrical utility company, system integrator or technical consultant in the field of substation automation, protection and control technology is a benefit.
  • Knowledge of the presentation and documentation of solutions with strong awareness of costs, quality and standardization.
  • Good communication and negotiation and decision-making skills with a high level of initiative and independence.
  • Adherence to deadlines, reliability and a structured working style.
  • Experience in leading a team (bid management of larger projects) will be an asset.
  • Willingness to occasionally take short trips as part of the offer activity.
