The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your responsibilities

  • Adaption and handling standard database for materials and symbols of CAE-Tool E³.
  • Development of e3 integration in .NET platform for various engineering and project execution needs.
  • Identify numbers in SAP System ME5.
  • Selection of Custom number for materials used in LCC and drives.
  • Deep technical understanding of secondary equipment.
  • Check against factory, engineering and common standards like ISO, EC, EN, etc.
  • Specialist understanding of ABB standards and local rules and regulations in regard to secondary equipment
  • Overview and efficient managing and optimization of interphases.
  • Train non-educated engineers in material and database handling.
  • Execute feedback rounds regarding quality / standard circuit diagrams / libraries and participate in process reviews of secondary engineering.
  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in CAE electrical planning of local control cubicles for SWG and in project handling, E³ preferred
  • Good knowledge in .NET, MS-Office, databases and SAP.
  • Good team player skills.
  • Good communication skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is an advantage.
  • High degree of social competence and sense of responsibility.
