The service unit is responsible for global after-sales support of generator circuit breaker systems (GCB) and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, additional services, troubleshooting, extensions, conversions, and replacements. Your responsibilities

  • Manage multicultural construction sites worldwide for GCB, the focus being on power plants from 20MW to 1600MW
  • Oversee the successful execution of on-site installation and maintenance work in compliance with contractual deadlines and in consideration of local statutory requirements
  • Assume responsibility for the quality of work performed on site by means of quality control and the assessment of skills of local auxiliary staff
  • Conduct on-site product training with the customer
  • Evaluate risks and oversee risk mitigation
  • Coordinate workers and the process of staff instruction
  • Manage costs relating to resources used and draw up regular reports for Project Management
  • Make an active contribution to process improvements and proactively implement measures to increase the efficiency of on-site operations

Your background

  • Vocational qualifications in the metalworking, electrical or automotive industry
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering is essential, preferably complemented by advanced training in electrical engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience; experience of construction site management would be an advantage
  • Commercial or technical training, e.g., as a Technician, considered advantageous
  • Good knowledge of English (at least B2 level); knowledge of German desirable
  • Willingness to work on national and especially international assignments around the globe (with up to 80% travel activity)
  • Flexible, resilient and communicative team player
  • Flair for finding pragmatic and unconventional solutions, alongside a commitment to meeting high quality and safety standards
