You will be responsible for the Sales/Marketing of cutting-edge Hitachi Energy products/systems/solutions associated with our Engineering & Service Portfolio in Canada. Reporting to the National Service Sales Manager, you will use your passion and experience to drive strategic engagements with our customer base in Canada, identifying and presenting effective solutions aligned to our customer needs.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive growth through new strategic initiatives and partnerships outside of natural core business.
  • Responsible to grow the opportunity pipeline and maintain a target level of forecast accuracy (Using Salesforce).
  • Stimulate sales growth across multiple Business Units and several competency verticals of Hitachi Energy Engineering & Service portfolio.
  • Monitoring customer and market trends to develop an effective sales & marketing approach in collaboration with key business stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Gather and maintain market analysis on Hitachi Energy & competitor position in the local/regional/national markets; leveraging this information to help support business decisions.
  • Contributing to the identification and development of regional market opportunities in collaboration market managers.
  • Preparing market/region business development plans with the support of key business stakeholder and regional sales.
  • Manage, penetrate, and expand service within the utility sector and other select key accounts in the Country.
  • Align the service portfolio to support our customers short- and long-term goals.
  • Identify market (or regional) needs along with regional sales team and suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Review the Hitachi Energy Install base, analyze and develop sales campaigns to capitalize on asset intelligence.

Your background

  • Engineering/bachelor’s degree/Technologist Diploma or proven outside sales experience
  • More than {7} years of experience in Business Development/Sales
  • Knowledge or understanding of Electrical Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Generation and the local market, an asset.
  • Knowledge of {Transformers, Breaker, Protection & Control and Substation equipment an asset }.
  • Proven ability to sell “Service” a strong attribute
  • Ability to influence and challenge business stakeholders (Internal and external) to drive business growth.
  • Demonstrate the ability to present and sell new technology solutions as a means of differentiating value. Bringing digital information solutions to the electrical market.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
