As R&D Engineer, you will join our Technology Center in Spain - Zaragoza, an organization leading continuous research and development activities on transformers. As part of our R&D Technology Center, you will contribute to the development of projects related to the mechanical performance of dry transformers. As a member of a highly skilled Technology Center, part of the global Hitachi Energy R&D community, you will run projects and contribute to the successful roadmap execution.

Your responsibilities

• Study of current state of art in the field of 2D and 3D simulation of dry transformers
• Analysis of performance of different parameters of dry transformers by means of 2D and 3D electromagnetic FEM calculations
• Development of tool to create the simulations and obtain the results via code
• Testing and gathering of measurement data
• Reporting and documentation
• Provide punctual technical support to factories, salespeople and customers

Your background

• Recent graduate MSc in Electrical Engineering. BSc degree will be also considered depending on other courses and experience
• Basic programming skills (e.g. VB, .NET or MATLAB)
• Interested in numerical simulations and electrical testing
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken
• Initiative, creativity and great attention to detail
• Collaborative and solution-oriented approach
