You as Software Development Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy -based Chennai, you will be responsible for working with teams in system consists of the station control and monitoring servers, operator workstations, control and protection main computers, digital signal processor units, I/O systems and valve control units.

Your responsibilities

• Development: Develop software modules of Highest Quality, within Budget and Time
• Testing: Bench Testing / Unit testing the modules developed.
• Agile Process: Familiar with Agile Development Processes or similar software development process
• Programing Languages: Should be open to program in C#, Visual C++, .Net etc.
• Maintenance bug fixes: Should understand the code, bug reports or Change request from customer to fix it for maintenance software release.

Your background

• Bachelor degree in engineering in computer science / Information technology / Electronics and communication
• 2-5 years of Software development experience with C# & .Net Technologies
• Hands on experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Winforms
• Knowledge on Language Integrated Query (LINQ)
• Database knowledge like SQL
• Writing high-performance Windows services and client-side (primarily desktop) applications
• Debugging complex multi-threaded and event-based applications
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Microsoft Technologies, Operating systems like Windows Server, DNS technologies
• Basic knowledge of networks and infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls), configuration and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of Configuration Management and version control tools such as TFS, git.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficiency in English, speaking and writing.
