Hitachi Energy is seeking to fill one position for a Project Specialist for its Zaventem, Belgium location. This role is responsible for leading the overview of contract execution and the customer satisfaction of projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments for our four different Business Units. Your responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts
- Work closely with the different Project Managers to understand the status, opportunities, difficulties, scope changes within the different running projects and can identify lessons learned that can be implemented on other projects.
- Review customers' specifications and examine new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to desired contract terms and conditions. Monitor, analyze, and report on contract performance, and control con-tract documents.
- Identify the contract baseline and highlight areas of potential risk in consultation with the execution team and summarize the most important contractual issues.
- Review and coordinate flow of information among various customers and internal functions such as Project Managers, Account Managers, Legal. Implement measures to resolve problems, ensure meeting schedule commitments and achieve customer satisfaction.
- Verify that both parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations.
- Start mitigation action before execution starts and seek advice from Legal to draft, negotiate and finalize agreements during the Project Execution phases.
- May act as the representative of the Project Management team in meetings with customers and suppliers.
- Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies.
- Ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned over the different projects. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives, together with the Project Manager, the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.

Your background
- You have a strong customer focus.
- You have a solid technical background with a passion for doing business and you hold a higher degree (Bachelor and/or Master) in electrical engineering or electromechanics.
- You have experience in a similar position, project management or commercial operations.
- You have a strong affinity for commercial and contractual follow-up of projects.
- You are fluent in Dutch, French and English language.
- You are enthusiastic, resistant to stress, accurate and a real team player.
- You have an organized and structured approach to projects in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
