Design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Job Location: Lima, Perú

Your responsibilities

  • Evaluates, selects and applies standard technicques and procedures to perform engineering assigments, Provides technicla support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours).
  • Supports Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk, quantifications,etc.) Creates work plans and cost estimates in own area of responilibity and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  • Completes risk and opportunitiy assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in ine´s area of responsibility. Reports anu contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolutions.
  • Assists customer on technical issues, interacs with official contracts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables.
  • Collaborates with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers.
  • Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one´s area of responsibility. Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Assigns tasks to and coordinates work entry level engineers, technicians, administrative staff.

  • Education: Electrical, electromechanical engineer
  • Fluent English
  • Expertise (Years): more than 5 years
  • Advanced knowledge of pre-operational and operational studies
  • Studies of load flow or contocircuit (Digsilent)
  • Electromagnetic transient studies (ATP)
  • Harmonic Studies (Digsilent)
  • Protection coordination studies
  • Stability studies of power systems
  • Advanced knowledge of reading and analysis of logical and functional plans for Power substations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the design of High Voltage Substations
  • Advanced knowledge of Failure Analysis
