MCS Communication is a leading provider of mission-critical telecommunication solutions. The mission critical communication customer base includes network operators of energy grids, railways, oil and gas pipelines, air traffic control, and public authorities. You will lead a team of 5 technical support specialists who support Pre/Post-Sales Services and interact with international Technical Support teams. During the Pre-Sales period, the team provides consulting to local sales offices technically to answer technical aspects. They implement and successfully pass PoCs and Tests to allow us to win tenders. During Post-Sales, the team supports and aids customers in product/network-related problems (SLA-based and warranty Post-Sales Support). Your responsibilities

  • Orchestrate the team load and be accountable for the team outcome
  • Assure the team motivation and level of expertise growth
  • Ensure and support the Change Management
  • Ensuring resolution of customer issues by coordinating with sales, operations, spare parts, and supply chain management
  • Remote management of overseas team members
  • Ensure that the most competitive offers taking to account the market situation and customer condition can be applied to serve the customer better
  • Assign and allocate internal/external resources for technical support and proposal preparation
  • Assure that your team is providing timely solutions to customer cases according to Hitachi Energy Quality Standards. They enable the 24/365 hotline for customers. Together with local sales offices and tender teams, they consult on the technical part of a successful tender response. They help local sales office teams to pass customer's technical acceptance criteria. They provide remote or on-site support where necessary and give technical support

Your background

  • As Team Leader for Technical Support, for infrastructure communication networks. You have a university degree focusing on Telecommunication or IT combined with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Preferable deep understanding in the areas of IP routing and core technologies, Ethernet, MPLS-TP, QoS, VPN, routing, HTTP, DNS, etc., and Cyber Security protection of communication networks
  • Cisco CCNP or equivalent
  • Good understanding in the areas DSL, Voice/VOIP and Circuit emulation, time and clock synchronization protocols like PTP
  • Good understanding of Operating Systems, such as Linux, VMware are an advantage
  • Genuine interest in leading and mentor others and bring your team to success
  • Strong communication, analytic, and negotiating skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% internationally
  • Languages: excellent command of English; German and French are an advantage
