As a Global Product Manager for Instrument Transformers business you will be part of Hitachi Energy High Voltage business. You are responsible for the long term profitable growth and development of the Instrument Transformers portfolio to targeted market segments, by developing and managing it through all of its life cycle phases, according to market needs and Product Group strategy and targets. You will be part of our Global Product Group Power & Industry Components team and reporting to Global Product Group Manager.
Your responsibilities
- You perform market intelligence analysis, understand and define current market segmentation & related product/system/service positioning
- You identify potential gaps in portfolio
- You are responsible for technical and market specification for the product/system/service and determines a product/system/service business plan that supports sustainable growth
- You lead the life cycle management process, analyse current product/system/service and define & track performance metrics
- You plan appropriate measures and make decisions on product/system/service obsolescence and end-of life to ensure current and future market requirements are met and maximize profitability
- You act as interface between external market and internal functions, forecast volume trends on a regular basis to ensure Operation’s capability to fulfill customer orders
- You define new product/system/service plans, sets technical, price, cost and capital expenditure targets
- You contribute to the development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, follow-up of product/system/service portfolio performance
- You define product customer value proposition per segment and channel and ensuring clear communication to channels and users
- You initiate and drive cross functional and cross-organization product and solution innovation teams, monitoring development of all standards and market trends and providing inputs to Research & Development (R&D) for patent screening process and intellectual property rights protection
Your background
- University degree within Engineering or Marketing field
- A minimum of 3-5 years Product Management experience
- Good knowledge in high voltage equipment and relevant industry experience
- Technical affinity, commercial thinker, motivated by high customer exposure
- High level of responsibility taking
- Very good command of English
