We are hiring an enthusiastic and motivated Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team at Transformers Córdoba, a business unit within Hitachi Energy. In this role you will manage the HSE area, both operationally and strategically. You will implement initiatives and work with your team and colleagues in creating a best-in-class HSE culture. We offer you a role with a lot of opportunities to develop yourself as well as the HSE-area. You will be a trusted member of Transformer management team and report directly to the unit manager. Your responsibilities

  • Serve as a reference point for HSE topics across the Transformer business
  • Coach, support and provide advice to managers and employees on HSE topics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide general health and safety advise to the organization
  • Carry out risk assessments, trainings, audits (internal and external) and run specific accident investigations in coordination with the HSE team.
  • Ensure compliance and full implementation in all HE HSE processes and HSE reporting systems.
  • Contractor’s coordination
  • Identify opportunities for HSE improvements in the business, identify appropriate actions and work with the business to implement those actions
  • Motivate your team, work together, deliver promises and be a positive team member at Transformer
  • Identify local HSSE standards and regulations. Knowledge of safety at work legislation
  • Follow up Legal requirements fulfillment
  • Follow up indicators and proposes improvements based on result
  • Review Key process regularly

Your background

  • It is an advantage if you have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with HSE experience in an industrial environment and commissioning in customer site (electrical substations, Nuclear Power Station or similar). You have former work experience in HSE, at least five years, and are motivated to further develop yourself within the area
  • Official H&S certificate degree as per Spanish H&S regulation, Expert in Occupational Safety, Ergonomics, and Industrial Hygiene. (Master’s degree)
  • HSE certification, Expert in health and safety coordinator on construction site
  • You have former leadership experience, either from leading a team or of leading a project
  • As a leader you are inspirational, people oriented, empowering, and accountable
  • You are structured, motivated, and passionate about working in the area of HSE
  • You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in Spanish & English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to travel and work on the projects site
  • Familiar with ISO 45001, 14001 Certifications framework
