Hitachi Energy is seeking an Engineering Product Design Team Manager - Configure to Order for its Engineering Hub. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a Configure to Order product Design for North America Hitachi Energy transformer products.

Your responsibilities

• Create and establish a Product design that is suitable for high volume manufacturing configure to Order product
• Lead the product design/Engineering team to generate product design, product documentation and manufacturing instructions to support CTO design concept
• Coordinate with Engineering design platform team and establish design platform to support configure to order design concept
• Coordinate with quotation team to configure the quotation design tool with the product configurations and configurable design modules
• Lead the Engineering product design team to generate the manufacturing drawings, process documentation and Bill of Materials
• Develop and maintain the Configure to Order product portfolio
• Coordinate with the Engineering DTV (Design to Value) /New product Introduction team to continue the optimization of product design to establish the most optimum design for customers

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering, and 8 or more years of related experience. Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
• 3-8 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience in developing a design concept for modular design and configure to Order products
• Experience in customer service and design for manufacturability in high volume production.
• Deep understanding of electrical product design using 3D modeling such as Creo or solid works.
• SAP, CREO/Solid works, automation for manufacturing
• Ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment, handle, and support change management
