Hitachi Energy offers power and automation products, systems, service and software solutions across the generation, transmission, and distribution value chain. Support the Sales team & Partners in articulating the business value and solution offerings of Hitachi Energy to customers and prospects. Qualify opportunities, build customer rapport and facilitate customer/prospect evaluation of relevant products/systems as part of the sales engagement process. To ensure excellent collaboration with our clients, the Presales Solution Consultant – Field Service Management (FSM), works closely with Sales, Product Development, Marketing, Professional Services, Partners and other client/third party stakeholder; to design & execute high quality solutions to our dynamic client base. The Presales Solution Consultant – FSM, contributes to RFI/RFP responses and the development of design documents and provides specialist expertise and input to Hitachi Energy proposals. You will be responsible for the success of the entire deal’s life cycle and drive sales results with your strong pre-sales skills and can-do attitude. This role will also require you to collect and translate market needs into product ideas to present to the Product Management team.

Your responsibilities

  • Guiding our customers to improve their business through a deep understanding of the Hitachi Energy FSM solution.
  • Understanding the customer’s business, industry and local field service management drivers, practices, and policies.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor in articulating and critically evaluating customer-specific business solutions.
  • Seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
  • Understanding customer business needs and guiding them in the most effective usage of Hitachi Energy Products.
  • Leading and owning the solution definition and scope for the FSM portion of the Hitachi Energy Solution.
  • Identifying and bridging the gap between the customer’s business requirements and Hitachi Energy Products.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory and compliance requirements of the Field Service Management domain in the key focus industries.
  • Managing, coaching, and mentoring other Hitachi Energy colleagues.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of existing Hitachi Energy products, processes, and methodology.

Your background

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in related field
  • Demonstration skills with the goal of influencing customer decisions to gain and retain Hitachi Energy business
  • Experience in Utilities, Mining, Transport and other asset intensive industries
  • Experience and knowledge of FSM solutions such as those from – SalesForce (Click Software), Clevest/IFS, SAP, IBM Maximo, Infor, iAuditor etc
  • Experience delivering Field Service Management ERP/IT Solutions in a similar role.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams, colleagues, customers and partners.
  • Ability to articulate and critically evaluate customer-specific business needs and solutions in a customer facing role.
  • Expertise in business process mapping and deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability, analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at the executive level.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Fluent in English and local language, both oral and written.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.
