R&D Test Engineer (Dead Tank Circuit Breakers) positions offered by Hitachi Energy USA Inc. (Greensburg, PA).

Your responsibilities

• Development, evaluation and application of tests to ensure compliance with test specification and generally accepted standards and provide support for development efforts, failure investigations and other electromechanical testing activities related to high voltage circuit breakers and other high voltage components at internal and external laboratories both domestic and international.

Your background

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related engineering field and 4 years of experience in the position offered or 4 years of experience performing acceptance testing on high voltage circuit breakers. Also requires 4 years of experience: interpreting test results for dead tank circuit breakers; maintaining engineering records and archives; applying, ANSI/IEEE, NFPA and IEC international electrical standards; and managing circuit breaker test engineers and technicians. Ability to travel for extended periods to support testing at external facilities. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
