The mission of the Enterprise Software Solutions R&D team is to deliver superior quality solutions that support the business goals and objectives of Hitachi Energy as it transforms the world to green energy creation. Hitachi Energy is seeking a DevOps Engineer for its Lumada DevOps team in the North American region. The primary focus of the DevOps Engineer role will be to lead in the continuous improvement of CI / CD processes through improved build, test, and deployment automation. This role will work closely with the product development and InfraOps teams as part of a virtual product focused team

Your responsibilities

• Collaborating with team across Hitachi Energy (Security, Product Development, Product Management, PMO) to enable best in class Dev Ops processes, policies, and technologies
• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
• Collaborating and working with distributed teams
• Setting up tools and required infrastructure
• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
• Incidence management and root cause analysis
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline
• Mentoring and guiding the team members

Your background

• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build strong relationships and trust throughout the organization
• Experience working with technologies such as Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Managed Services such AKS, PostgreSQL, SQLServer, Application Insights, Active Directory
• Experience using one or more Configuration Management tools such as TerraForm and Ansible
• Experience working with and automating enterprise scale infrastructure and virtualization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Experience working with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, ELK, and Azure Monitor
• Experience working on Linux based infrastructure
• Experience with languages such as Python, Go, and Java
• Experience working with a globally disperse team of self-directed, highly motivated individuals working towards common goals.
• Experience with remote software installations to customer on premise location
• Computer Science bachelor’s degree, with 5 plus years of experience
