Hitachi Energy is seeking a home-based Marketing Engineer for its Marketing & Sales Hub. This role is responsible for managing proposal activities for the Power Transformer opportunities in assigned region. This role is part of the North American Hub’s Marketing & Sales organization, and is a remote, home base role with up to 10% travel required. Candidates must be located in the United States to be considered.

Your responsibilities

  • Translate customer design requirements and coordinate completion of pricing and quotations
  • Review requests for quotes and identify any issues that require follow-up with Sales
  • Lead Contract Review with contracts team
  • Develop final pricing and packaging of all cost and data to complete bids
  • Respond to commercial issues and customer clarifications via the Business Development Manager
  • Track and report opportunity status and support as necessary to close
  • Create Customer final proposal using standard templates
  • Ensure Hitachi Energy’s value is clearly communicated in Customer terms

Your background

  • Bachelor Degree and 5 or more years of related experience. Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Engineering or technical degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in the tendering and proposal function
  • Experience translating specification requirements preferred
  • Prior experience in a customer facing sales or marketing role preferred
