In Grid Integration Service Solutions, we are at the forefront of the digital revolution. For our growing R&D team, we are looking for a substation / FACTS subject matter expert who makes our develops products / solutions ready for the future by digitalizing our know-how, combining physical models with data-driven models, moving from diagnostics to prognostics, and aligning reliability solutions across our business. Your responsibilities

  • Be a thought leader and a doer in substation reliability, risk, and asset performance models
  • Own the end-to-end product development by acting as product owner and interfacing between customer and customer representatives (e.g. product managers) and development team
  • Translate business ideas into development user stories
  • Develop processes, tools, templates, and guidelines as part of HAPG standard and new offering productization
  • Act as focal point and «go to» person for substation / FACTS service activities such as maintenance, retrofits, upgrades, and extensions
  • Create knowledge and consolidate the rich product and service know-how and expertise of HAPG units into product requirements and eventually products
  • Document our solutions in concise and convincing technical reports and whitepapers

Your background

  • University degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in electrical engineering or similar
  • Solid experience in electrical substation/FACTS maintenance and understanding of failure modes, their effects, and mitigation actions
  • Experience in planning and execution of inspection, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for grid and/or power quality products
  • Knowledge of electrical system spares and experience in engineering and execution of retrofits, upgrades, and extensions of power and power quality systems
  • Understanding and preferably experience of state of art condition-based, reliability-centered and risk-based maintenance in addition to standard time-based maintenance
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills proven by your ability in formulating complex topics in simple languages
