Reporting to the Ireland and United Kingdom within our High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) department working with the Service Manager you will be Home based but will be required to attend various customer sites throughout Ireland and overseas as required. This opportunity is to deliver maintenance & repair services to Hitachi Energy customers. Provide Technical support for the Global and Local service centre (Ireland /United Kingdom) team and customers.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure conformity to the Hitachi Energy/Customer Electrical safety Systems.
• Create and approve documentation in accordance with the contractual requirements of the project.
• To identify and manage additional risks across functions
• Assist in preparing tender proposals and claims.
• Assist the Global maintenance organization development as required.
• Acts as a technical lead and design authority for engineering deliverables across all applicable engineering disciplines.
• Act as Control Person Safety as required.
• From time to time, we would have a requirement for short term travel outside Ireland to attend customer sites.
• Acts as a technical lead and design authority for engineering deliverables across all applicable engineering disciplines.

Your background

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or similar
• More than 10 years practical experience in HVDC and 400kV AC substations.
• More than 10 years’ experience as a Control Person Safety
• Demonstrate excellent customer focus.
• Experience in delivering technical reports and fault analysis.
• Extremely detail conscious and numerate
