You will contribute significantly to successful project results in Market Management System (MMS) projects in Power Grids, Poland. Reporting to Eryk Zajdel, you will work independently while collaborating with, and providing guidance to, the wider R&D team.

Your responsibilities

• Designing and developing complex enterprise class software for energy market operators
• Ensuring code quality and following best software development practices: Unit Tests, Code Reviews
• Being a member of a cross discipline team, active participation in all team’s activities, focusing on a common goal
• Managing end to end development tasks and taking ownership of the developed ones

Your background

• Minimum of 3+ years of work experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Exceptional programming skills in PL/SQL with a passion for programming.
• Systems level knowledge of Linux. Similar knowledge of Windows a big plus.
• Experience in Oracle Database Administration is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle TimesTen is a plus
• Enterprise application development experience with J2EE based systems including JMS Messaging, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP server, JBoss or equivalent, ORMs like Hibernate, XML data binding software such as JAXB or Castor, Apache Axis and JWSDP is a plus.
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
