Our Substation Automation group is looking for a group leader willing to develop in an international environment who can manage a group of 15-25 software engineers. Your responsibilities

• Line management of a software development team
• Leverage employees’ skills and competencies and support employees’
• development
• Drive process and cultural changes in the organization towards increased
• quality and execution
• Close cooperation with Product Management and R&D Management in order to meet customer and market expectations
• Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality components within a specified scope
• Strict process adherence - confirm and later monitor defined quality metrics
• Drive a good collaboration culture in between the local teams in Krakow and
• other Hitachi Energy R&D locations

Your background

• Deep understanding and 4+ years of experience in Software Development and at least 4 years of experience in leading teams or groups
• Understanding of all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle: Requirements Engineering; Development; Verification and Validation; Configuration Management in Agile environment
• Knowledge of key infrastructure technologies: operating systems, infrastructure security, networking, databases, embedded development
• Energetic and enthusiastic, passionate and creative thinker, able to translate to pragmatic solutions
• Excellent leadership skills
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Experience in the energy and utilities industry would be a plus
