Wave Planner, 2nd Shift

Job Title: Wave Planner, 2nd Shift

Location: Westminster, MD

Hours: 3pm – 11:30pm (Mon – Fri)

Requires flexibility with occasional adjusted work hours, weekend coverage and overtime as needed

Job Description:

• Cover 2nd Shift Wave Planning & Transportation functions
• Create waves in MARC by batching orders based upon various order criteria and customers’ needs
• Provide Transportation support to 2nd shift Shipping in all US distribution centers
• Prioritize workload to meet needs of our internal & external customers
• Communicate with carriers and binderies
• Coordinate with other departments to handle special order requirements and to resolve problems
• Print replenishment and wave labels on the appropriate label stock & printer
• Breakdown wave labels by wave, label type, mods and clusters
• Prepare Export documentation
• Request Proof of deliveries
• Maintain Label printers
• Perform other duties as required (sort mail, handle inquiries, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail oriented & attention to accuracy while maintaining deadlines
• Analytical & problem solving skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational & prioritization skills required
• Effective e-mail management using Outlook
• Proficiency in Excel required 
• Knowledge of SAP, MARC and/or Mercury Gate a plus
• Experience with Crystal Reports and/or Access helpful
• Ability to lift cartons up to 50 lbs, to bend & stoop while loading/removing labels from the printers and to stand for extended periods of time breaking down labels
