As the General Practitioner, you will make professional autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers. You will be expected to undertake the standard duties associated with being a GP working in a Primary Care setting with best clinical practice including guideline set out by the Royal College of General Practitioners.
We are a GP-led forward thinking practice that host meetings every 3 months which incorporate CPD, clinical governance, service design and peer review, audit, medicines management and team management. Within this meeting you have the opportunity to contribute to delivering a high-quality service as well as drive service improvement and innovation with support from wider Virgin Care colleagues.
We're looking for a Salaried General Practitioner to work within our friendly team in Chelmsford. you will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of other dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals to care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work. You will join an organisation with numerous Primary Care GP-Led services across Essex which allows for cross function support to provide the best possible patient experience
We have built organisation-wide committees in many specialist fields. You’ll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country. We get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design. You’ll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads. You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity. Within the role we also have opportunities for experienced GP trainers looking to lead a programme of training and mentorship across primary care, including medical and nursing students, allied health professionals, doctors returning to NHS practice (Induction& Refresher Scheme) and GP Registrars. Additional financial reimbursement and up to 50% WTE protected time to undertake this role will be considered.
You will be a GMC registered and have a strong clinical background working in Primary Care.
You will be on the performers list and have full GMC registration. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how working in Primary Care setting differs from hospital and have the ability to diagnose and assess the healthcare needs of patients.
You will also need to be confident using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
